Keep the rugged, starchy 13 ounce base we love in a classic raw denim. Use indigo dye for the warp to get the fades we desire and love. Retain the crisp white weft for the classic denim styling. Now, change it up completely with a bold herringbone weave. This style does it all. The herringbone construction is really the star. The pattern is truly historic, with use in fabric dating back to the Roman Empire. The iconic zig-zag pattern gains prominence via the contrasting warp and weft colors letting you enjoy the full beauty of the weave. There is just so much visual character on display and it will just get better with your wear. Finally, making this style even more rare is the selvedge composition with classic red ID. This is a beautiful take on selvedge denim.

"Just received my first pair of Gustin selvedge jeans (straight, 35 waist). I carefully read their sizing suggestion, especially the fact that they don't use vanity sizing. I wear a 32W/34L in almost every pair of jeans I own, so I ordered a 35W and the waist fits really well. I guess I could have gone for a 34W for a tighter fit that would stretch a bit like most selvedge does, but I like wearing a belt with a slightly looser fit.
If you order a 34W or larger, you automatically get a 36" inseam. I'm nearly 6' 3" and I found the inseam to be too long with too much extra fabric to fold up and cuff at the bottom. I prefer to have one fold which, even at my height, gave me a 5" cuff on these jeans. I can't imagine how much extra fabric someone 6' and under would have to deal with. No, I don't like folding the cuff in on itself resulting in a wad of fabric at my ankles. My suggestion: go a little shorter on the fabric for a 36" inseam.
I love the herringbone denim; there's nothing else like this on the market, so you'll surely be the only person wearing these wherever you go--very original.
Gustin isn't lying when they predict the shipping date once your jeans get funded. Mine took 2 1/2 months...but well worth the wait. Looking forward to buying more from Gustin in the future.
